How can you tell when the food you grow or buy is the healthiest it can be for you?
In this Bloom session, Donna Blazer will show us how to “read” the plants you buy, and which ‘dirty dozen foods’ to grow or buy whenever possible.
After thirty years of answering garden questions on CBC radio across Alberta, three seasons as a Television host on HGTV’s internationally aired Bugs & Blooms, and twenty years writing for Postmedia News about growing and gardening, Donna has accumulated a wealth of gardening information and experience. Horticulturist, speaker, and author, Donna is now focused on growing and cooking her own food and teaching others to do the same.
After Donna’s talk and Q&A, you'll be matched with a group of 5-6 other attendees to connect and explore this topic further. The conversation is moderated by a fellow community member and is a welcoming and safe space for all.
