Advocate for Older Adults and their families, Family Mediator and retired Family Lawyer
In this Bloom session, Marion York and Marion Korn will discuss gathering your resources; preparing your plan for aging; sharing your wishes with your loved ones.
Marion York CPCA CEA offers a client-centered consulting service guiding individuals and their families to live well in the knowledge that future wishes and needs have been addressed and a plan is in place. She addresses the complexities of the health, community and home care systems and navigates transitions, whether anticipated or unanticipated by identifying resources and accessing her trusted network so that her clients can age with dignity and choice.
As a Family Mediator and now retired Family Lawyer, Marion Korn has devoted her career to helping couples and families develop strategies and solutions to their separations. Spearheading the Collaborative Law movement in Ontario, as well and in England, she trained a generation of lawyers and aligned professionals to shift their approach to divorce. I continue to provide education workshops to mediators. In her book: When Harry Left Sally (co-authored with Eva Sachs) she provides guidance for couples choosing separation later in life.
After the talk and Q&A, you'll be matched with a group of 5-6 other attendees to connect and explore this topic further. The conversation is moderated by a fellow community member and is a welcoming and safe space for all.
