We all know that exercise is good for us. But exercise can be something we do reluctantly, or it can be a form of play and something we do eagerly.
In his Bloom session, Peter Gray will share research and examples from his own life how play not only adds joy to your life, it improves physical and mental health, and longevity.
Peter Gray is a research professor of psychology and neuroscience, author of a general textbook in psychology, and a specialist in the benefits of play. He’s a 77- year-old bicyclist, kayaker, swimmer, cross-country skier, lumberjack, and gardener.
After Peter's talk and Q&A, you'll be matched with a group of 5-6 other attendees to explore this topic further. It'll be an opportunity to connect and share your own experience or wisdom. The conversation is moderated by a fellow community member and is a welcoming and safe space for all.
