Have you ever inhibited yourself by saying “I’m too old for that”?
Ageism, both external and internalized, is real and has a very damaging impact on our longevity, mental, physical and emotional health.
In her Bloom session, Susan Farling will review the impact of global and societal ageist policies, structures and attitudes and how we have internalized ageism. She’ll discuss its impact on our health and well-being, and how we can develop an internal ageism detector to disrupt and counteract it.
Susan Farling has an undergraduate degree in art but switched her focus to nursing and worked as a registered nurse for ten years. She was a founding member of Westcoast Clinical Counselling and had a general counselling and psychotherapy private practice for 30 years. She now coaches women and men in their retirement transition and beyond.
After Susan's talk and Q&A, you'll be matched with a group of 5-6 other attendees to explore this topic further. It'll be an opportunity to connect and share your own experience or wisdom. The conversation is moderated by a fellow community member and is a welcoming and safe space for all.
You're all set 🎉
