It’s easy to feel like we are at the mercy of life’s events – pandemics, politics, and even the people around us. But we have more control than we think. Drawing on current research as well as the wisdom of ancient and modern philosophers, Dr Kimberly Geil walked us through a powerful exercise in this Bloom session, to reveal where we may be ceding control, and then showed us how we can take it back.
Dr. Kimberly Geil is an International Coaching Federation and Optimize certified coach, showing people how to be their best selves. With an undergraduate degree from Stanford and a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, she’s been teaching for over 25 years, and now focuses on training executives and state agency employees in interpersonal skills, team building, and more.
After Kim’s talk and Q&A, you'll be matched with a group of 5-6 other attendees to explore this topic further. It'll be an opportunity to connect and share your own experience or wisdom. The conversation is moderated by a fellow community member and is a welcoming and safe space for all.
